The next FinnMateria trade fair will be held on November 4–5, 2026, at the Paviljonki in Jyväskylä, Finland. In 2026, the event will expand to encompass the entire lifecycle of inorganic materials. In addition to the mining industry, future editions of the event will feature a broader representation of the circular economy.
The circular economy is becoming a key driver in the development of the mining industry, offering significant business opportunities for companies. Sustainable development and resource efficiency are essential in addressing the challenges of climate change and the depletion of natural resources within the mining sector. Mikael Wänskä, Sales Manager of the FinnMateria trade fair, sees highlighting the circular economy as a natural progression in the event’s evolution.
“At present, there is no comprehensive professional circular economy fair in Finland, even though the topic is increasingly relevant. The principles of the circular economy offer companies the chance to change their operations and reduce the need for new mining projects. Many current FinnMateria exhibitors already provide products and services that go beyond the mining industry, so expanding the theme also meets the needs of existing exhibitors,” says Wänskä.
